Membrane Protein Delivery into Giant Vesicles Using Charged‑Mediated Fusion

Mulitple proteins embedded in small positively charged liposomes were delivered into the membranes of negatively charged giant unilamellar vesicles by charged mediated fusion. The process occurs within a few minutes and was verified by functional analysis of the proteins and fluorescence microscopy.

This work was carried out in the group of Prof. Christoph von Ballmoos.
