tRNA Fragments as Regulatory RNAs

tRNAs are well-known for their role in protein biosynthesis. More recently, tRNA-derived fragments were discovered as novel non-coding RNAs class in all domains of life. They can control gene expression at various levels (e.g. as ribosome-associated RNA) and their mis-regulation is connected to human diseases.
Norbert Polacek, together with a colleague of the Harvard Medical School Boston, has compiled a Methods in Enzymology book issue dedicated to tRNA-derived RNA research.

Two chapters in this book were contributed by Alessia Rosina, Carmela Esposito & colleagues from the group of Prof. Dr. Norbert Polacek.
